EMAIL with PHOTO ATTACHED

INSTRUCTIONS

You are going to learn to turn in your work as an attachment to email, if you haven't already learned that. You will learn how to attach other types of files to your email as attachments.

For starters, send a email to your assignment mailbox for your section and attach a PICTURE of yourself, attached as a .GIF or .JPG file, NOT a .BMP file!.

You will use a scanner or a digital camera to do this project.  When you get ready to save (whether scanned or from the digital camera), go to FILE and select SAVE AS, scroll down and look at the various file formats you have as options.  Select either .GIF or .JPG; do NOT select .BMP.  This latter format takes longer to load because it creates such a large file size; also with .GIF and .JPG, the person receiving the photos as an attachment can open it right in email.

PS. If you want to get definitions of these file types, try the TECHNOLOGY ENCYCLOPEDIA located at http://www.emTech.net

This is a great way to introduce yourself to people you meet over the net or to future employers.
