IPhones and iPads to Gain NFC (Near-Field Communication) Payment Features in Next Iteration

The next iteration of the iPad 2 and the iPhone for AT&T, will have Near-Field Communication (NFC) capability enabling these mobile devices to be used in making purchases. NFC is a technology that can beam and receive information at a distance of up to 4 inches. Other mobile vendors will also begin to incorporate NFC in their mobile devices.

The “Clip-it” is available in black, white, yellow, green, pink, blue and orange and a 4GB USB ranges in price from about $18.00 – $19.00, except for the new “Green” color. This new color will cost you about $23-$24.
